Action
If you are in elevator that malfunctions, you should:
- Press Emergency Button, which activates alarm. It will sound and alert building personnel of a problem.
- Pick up elevator telephone, and it will automatically connect you to the elevator trouble-monitoring agency.
- Remain calm. Do not try to force the doors or tamper with any electrical panels.
- Provide the telephone contact with any information requested.
- Should a medical emergency occur while in a malfunctioning elevator, have the telephone contact alert Fire/Police.
Results
- Elevator personnel will respond.
- You will be assisted as soon as possible
